In the 3D art of Jozef, a recurring motif is a strange, alien creature. Sometimes it appears with horns, sometimes without, but it is always there, lurking in the background of his creations. Who are these creatures, and what do they mean?
they are called Creux Mannequins. Jozef uses them in the same way that fashion designers use mannequins to create their designs. He uses them to convey his message to the viewer, and to explore the possibilities of digital art.
The Creux Mannequins are always working together, and their name reflects that. “Creux” sounds like “Crew” in English, but in French it means “Hollow.” This is a reference to the fact that the mannequins are not just empty vessels, but are filled with Jozef’s artistic vision
